displacement problem
In the past I made a circular weld seam by putting a Voronoi-noise displacement map (cylindrical texture) on an object.
The (isolated) object is left on the image I attached. I forgot how the object was made.
In a new model I tried to repeat that by using a tube-object (turned into a polygon object) and gave it the same texture (with a little blue shift to make a difference).
The new (blue) object is on the right.I made all the (texture and material) parameters the same, but I simply can’t get the same result.
What am I overlooking ?
