I’ve looked in the manual and searched on here to see if Motion had displacement maps like AE. I looked through Motion too, is there something similar?
    thanks,

    Heya Stussey,

There are a number of Distortion-category filters that take secondary inputs. The generic one, “Displace”, is probably what you’re looking for 🙂

Thanks for the quick response. So, what’s the easiest way to add the secondary input. I know in AE you can pick which track from a pop up. I’m taking it that it’s a drop & drag like in FCP?
    thanks in advance again,
    Stussey

    Heya,

Like any object that has secondary input(s), just drag and drop. The Displace filter has an image well that you can drop any other object into, or you can use the shortcut, and just drag any other object in the Layers List into the Displace filter (in the Layers List) and it will automatically plug it in for you. This shortcut can be used with any filter or object that has a secondary input (filters, image masks, etc.)
