Displacement Map…please Help!
Hi there.I have a problem.Recently I had to re-install my After Effects 7 (I had a few problems with my OS).Now everything works fine,there is only one thing.I can’t find effect Displacement Map.I am trying to follow some online tutorials and one of the steps is to apply Displacement Map(Effect>Distort>Displacement Map).I’m sure that I had it before reinstalation but now is gone.Can you help me out please?I’m trying to serach my plugin collection bet there is no results.

Use the effects and presets window and type in displacement map, see if it comes up. It would be wierd if it didn’t, as this is a standard filter with the professional version of AE.

Nothnig…its not there.I’ve got only Advanced Displacement,nothing else.

No,there is no such a thing.I’ve got only Advanced Displacement and nothing else.

About all you can do is reinstall. You installed the non-pro, standard version of After Effects. If you look around, you should see you are missing lots of pro-only effects.

Thank you very much for your answer.The only thing I don’t understand is,before reinstalation OS and After Effects I had Displacement map effect.But,when I installed AE7 again Displacement Map was gone.After Effects installation was the same like the first time.The same CD I’ve used to reinstall.I have only one CD.I hope you understand what I mean (sorry for my english).Is there any way to install those “pro” effects?
