Hi there your friendly blonde here..
I have my movie done.BUT… When I go to export it out to a DVD using the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 it gives me this error::::
Disc Space Required: 7.52 GB — Avaiable 4:38 GB
    Insufficient disk space for recording.
I am using the 4.7GB regular DVD-R, If I would get a Dual Layer DVD 8.5 GB would that fix my problem? Also if so do you know if they make that DVD in only + R form?

Or does this movie need to be compressed in some matter first before exporting it out? The movie running time in the Adobe reads as about 1 hour and 50 minutes.

    Thanks ahead of time.

You will need to change the video bitrate to 3700 kbps to fit video and PCM audio on a DVD. If you have the Surecode Dolby plug-in then you can add 1200 kbps to the video bitrate. Same if you can use Encore to author the DVD.

This program that you are talking about is that something other than just the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5?
I dont have any of these additional Adobe programs to run with this..I do know that I have NERO on the editer.
Can I do anything with this?

Ok so when I go into the Export to DVD in the adobe and it pops up the page that allows you to name your project and than go to the page that allows you to change you bitrate , That is where i would change that bitrate to what you said and that would fix it..

why not export your movie from prem as an AVI and then import this into encore and allow encore to work out the best bit rate for your project.

Hi, my only other suggestion would be to download a tryout version of Encore from the adobe website. See if you like it, and go from there. David

David’s suggestion is great, especially with the length of your movie. You really need the extra 1.3 mbps for the video bitrate.

If you only use Premiere, you will need to dig into the advanced settings of the encoder to set the bitrate.
