Disk space vanishing
I’m not really a computer person, but for my work, I use Premiere. It’s installed on C: (in Windows 7), but I put all projects on other drives. Still, remarkable amounts of space on C keep vanishing.
What can I do to correct this or, alternatively, what can I periodically do to clean up?
I’ve discovered a folder in Users, [mycompanyname], adobe premiere, common (or something like that – I don’t have this set up on my home PC) which is massive. Can I simply delete the contents of that folder or will this cause problems?

That’s where Adobe applications keep their media cache. You can change this folder in Premiere or After Effects preferences.

Thank you! I’ve also since learned about CFA and PIK (iirc) files, which can safely be deleted, which is especially useful for old dead projects. Your response is much appreciated.

I’ve made a “Adobe Cache” folder on a different drive and redirected all caching there. It’s easier to empty and it’s also easier to follow the size of the cache.
