disk space error on authoring
I am trying to author a 4.7GB file and when I choose “burn” from the menu and then choose my folder, it is giving me an error: “There is not enough disk space in the temporary folder”, even though I have 450,000MB of space available. There is more than enough space. What am I doing wrong here?

USe Build and Format, for me there is no do reason to use Burn, it does the same as build/format but throws the Video TS folder away at the end of the process.
You maybe just over the DVD disc capacity limit. If that is the case you need to reencode video or if you have not made the audio ac3 files, then will always give you back a lot of space.

Though the blank DVD media says “4.7GB”, as with hard drives, that is inflated and the true usable size is about 4.37GB.
As suggested, always use AC-3 audio, and if that doesn’t do it, encode the video at a lower bit rate. I’ve found that the Adobe formula of 560/minutes works well for me, just round the result down a bit for safety.
