  Discrepancy between same clip in FCP and in Browser

  So i have been capturing some footage HDCAM into my g5 system. The problem is my clips in final cut are much shorter than they actually are when i view the actual quicks in quicktime. in final cut a clip says its only 12 seconds long but the file is 32gb and 43 minutes long. every time i try to bring it back into final cut i get the same thing. any ideas??? i was getting time code breaks alot and turned warn after capture on but i can see all the footage fine in quicktime.
