    hi friends,

I need help of you all here.

    https://www.engine.net.au/

At the above site in ARCHIVE section under 2005 there are some beautifully done Discovery Idents.

Can you please comment on how can this be done. They have used stills as well as moving clips. The end result is really nice.

I hope this can be done with After effects and photoshop.

Any comments of yours would be extremely valuable to me.

    Thanks a lot,

    Vj

Most of those look pretty straightforward (but nice). Cut out some photos in Photoshop and put them into 3d space in AE. You could probably parent the layers to a null and rotate that around, or just do a camera move on the layers. The moving footage is probably stock footage that was either rotoscoped or keyed. I don’t see any (true) 3d in the spots.

yeah, the trick is mostly in making good looking compositions and colors. Then set up those compositions at different angles and place in 3d space, and pan and rotate the camera from on to the other. Probably technically not so complicated, but artistically 😉
