  Discoloured bars on XDCAM footage

  We have an issue with Sony XDCAM footage. Basically when previewing the footage in the XDCAM Transfer software, it is fine, however once imported into FCP the footage appears with discoloured bands moving up the screen, with the similar transparency of a watermark.

  We’ve done a test export, and the resulting .mov looks OK again. Tried using the log and transfer option in FCP, still the same result. It’s only when in FCP these bands appear.

  On the timeline the clips indicate that rendering is needed, but the dicoloured bands still appear when clip rendered.

  The footage was recorded at 1440 x 1080 XDCAM.

  Any ideas?
