I’ve built a DVD and burnt to DVD+R DL for client approval and testing. It generally is fine, but it has been a bit ‘skippy’ on a couple of bits in some players. The underlying MPEG files are fine, the DVD plays fine in preview, and the error isn’t consistent across players, so I’m confident that there’s not really anything wrong.

Is this just because the writable discs are a little harder for players to read than commercially replicated ones, or could there be another factor I’m not considering?

How can I go about assuring myself that the problem won’t be present in the final pressed discs?

The datarate on the DVD is not an issue, content is between 4.5 and 6Mbit.
