  Disappearing hyphens…

  I’m adding bullets to a column of text using a paragraph style sheet. The text is left justified and hyphenation is on. When I tab in out-of-line text on the left of the column, the hyphens disappear from the right, even though the words remain broken. The text was copied and pasted from a PowerPoint file. What could be the problem?
