  • Disable/enable an FX on a layer with a expression checkbox controller?

Hi there, Im working on a huge and what starting to be a heavy project. I have added a lot of effects to many different layers but I really don’t need them while working on with the project.
Im looking for a way to make ONE on/off checkbox controller in my main comp to enable/disable all effects that are connected to it so that I can preview when I need (ON) , and disable when working (OFF). All with one click.

Is there a way to do this? To connect disable/enable function of an fx to an exression checkbox controller?

    All the best,
    J

    Thanks

you can’t do it with an expression, but you could write a script that could disable specific effects for selected layers, or something like that.

i think it would probably be faster to live with selecting a group of layers and then toggling the ‘fx’ switch in the switches panel on the timeline. granted that disables all effects for a layer, but it’s fast and easy.
