Using AE CS4 on a Mac.

Usually working on the sound mix while AE is rendering. So muting not an option. Every time a render finishes, I’m nearly knocked out my chair.

Is there an off switch? A volume control? A way to replace it?

    Thanks

Turn down the volume on your computer speakers or mute your volume…

Dylan, you may be able to find that file on your Mac by CTRL-clicking the After Effects application and choosing ‘open package’. HOWEVER, I do NOT recommend doing this unless you are confident you know what you are doing or have backed up completely.

Looks like you replied without reading the question. “Usually working on the sound mix while AE is rendering. So muting not an option.”
