Disable Processor Cores on 12-core Mac?
Hi,
We now have systems with dual 6-core processors (12 cores total per machine).
We have a problem with a plugin for FCP 7.0.3. It simply will not work on a system that is using more than 8 cores. However, the plugin has been reported to work if two of the cores on each processor are disabled prior to starting FCP (which effectively gets us back to an 8-core machine).
Does anyone here know the method for disabling processor cores on a Mac with OSX 10.6.7?
