Disable Plug-ins at Start up
Posted by Eric Santiago on June 30, 2016 at 3:24 pmIs there any way to disable all plug-ins in a project before opening?
I keep inheriting these projects with multitudes of plug-ins that I don’t own (or plan to own).
And if there isn’t a way, whats the quickest way of deleting all plug-ins in a project?Andreas Kiel replied 9 years, 10 months ago 4 Members · 7 Replies -

June 30, 2016 at 6:14 pmYes, I use it to clear effects from fcpxmls that are going out to Resolve or elsewhere for conform.
It’s super easy, works well, and does the job. It shows you a list of effects, you can choose to delete them all, or just the ones you don’t want, and then it autosaves this deletion back to the fcpxml. Import that XML when you’re done and there are no more effects.
If you like it, be sure to donate! 🙂

June 30, 2016 at 7:03 pmLast night with client I tried the XML export into Resolve and got me further into the timeline.
The tip you sent will be the best option since the files were acting up in Resolve.
I have to get this going in FCPX.Thanks again Jeremy.

July 1, 2016 at 12:43 amDoes it list all effects, titles, generators and transitions? Even in compound clips? We bought Producer’s Best Friend for this specific purpose and it can’t do it.

July 1, 2016 at 3:38 pmAnything that is based off of a motion template, it should see. I haven’t tested every combination/permutation, but it seems to do a good job of listing everything, even in compounds.

[/quote]That’s what X-FX is made for.
For any experience with the the app ask the production team of “Focus”.
They used it on a daily base while producing the movie.– Andreas
