Disable brightness control
I want to lock the brightness on the displays that my students use so that they can no longer darken or brighten them. I don’t want to set the user accounts to Managed with Parental controls because it limits too many apps that we use. I’m sure there’s got to be some way with Terminal, I just don’t know what it is, and I haven’t been able to find anything other than checking the “Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” System Preference, and taking off the auto-dim control. This still allows the more savvy students to go into System Prefs and change the display brightness.
Plus, the Function key creates the problem of my students having to hold down the fn key in order to change the volume on their computers, which will then lead to them being able to change the brightness again.
Simply put, I want to lock the brightness to 100%.
Ideas?
