Direct Selection Tools on pictures
Hi, I’m new to Illustrator and am self teaching me how to use it through trial and error and going through books/online tutorial.
On a project I’m working on, I’m editing pictures into computer screens of other pictures… so it looks like the person on the picture is seeing what I’m editing in. I’m trying to manipulate the picture into weird shapes to fit the angles of the computer, but not sure how….
I know with the direct selection tool, I can change the edges to be all sorts of shapes and such, but how can I do this with a picture? So far it only seems to work with shapes.
I tried doing clipping mask and it doesn’t really look right so I want to transform the picture into the shape/angle of the computer.

unless i’m missing something, it looks like you’d have better luck with photoshop, which has a lot more controls for raster image editing.
to edit picture into computer screen in photoshop, place said picture > go to edit menu on top > transform > skew.
