Direct Firewire Capture on xpress pro
I have a client with an older version of xpress pro (5.7.5) with a Mojo box.
We are mixing HDV footage with DVCam footage. I am bypassing the Mojo for capture and going directly into the Mac via Firewire.
I was able to capture directly from his HDV camera over firewire with no problems (although it took a bit of tickling the AVID to get it to work).
I am trying to capture DVCam footage using a Panasonic AJSD-93 deck. (I know its a DVCPro deck but it plays back all flavors of DV.) I can get the deckcontrol to work over the FW cable but I can’t get any video or audio signal into the Xpress.The Mojo is not hooked up at all at this point. Just the deck directly into the Mac.
No amount of tickling seems to work this time!!!

Hook the mojo back up and grab the DVcam footage through it. You won’t be able to monitor the HDV footage through it but you’ll be able to get it all online this way.
