Im new to the hvx200. I am doing tests right now, and cannot seem to find any difference between the 720P settings. In the scene file menu, i choose 24 frames. And then move to the recording menu. I have set it to 24P, 30P and 60P. When i go to log and transfer, they all display as the same vid rate (23.98). What is the difference between the settings if they all read as 23.98 when brought in to FCP?

I am used to working with the SDX 900 which records a 24P at 29.97 for play back for broadcast. How can i get a similar workflow? I like the cinematic effect of 24P but do not need the 24 frame timeline as for doing a film out.

How does the hvx record 24P look but be used for normal broadcast?

    thanks,

    jamie

Pretty much the same workflow- the main difference is 24pN which gives you the ability to lay down 24p with no pulldown.
