digitize HVX200 Directly into FinalCutPro
I just did a test today where I had an HVX200 Panasonic Camera shooting 720p firewired directly into Final Cut Pro. I can digitize directly in if I turn off machine control. If I turn on machine Control I get an error that the VTR is not responding. I would like to be able to set the timecode coming into Final Cut Pro for my clips so that each clip has unique timecode. Any tips?

Better to ask next time on the P2 forum. As to your question- as of FCP right now you have to be capturing as uncontrollable device. Not a big deal as there is no tape timecode to match to anyway.
