    Hi,

I have rushes with real time tc – so this means tc breaks with each shot

when digitising ppro seems to ignore those tc breaks and digitises with continuos tc – so with a wrong tc

is there a setting somewhere that i didn’t find to digitise as separate clips with each tc break – or to at least digitise with right tc from the tape?

    thx, F

Unfortunately Adobe Premiere is not professional enough to recognise the fact that there are timecode breaks in a tape. Especially in the work flow that you are trying to use! You have to find workarounds – my workaround is to use FCP when I have that work model which IS pro enough to consider timecode breaks.

Are you capturing it as DV?

Thx for the reaction Baz – i don’t believe a lot of real pro’s are working with ppro – and i’m beginning to understand why

ppro is a good finisching tool but to edit in a real pro world – stinks

so i’ll go to my fcpro – i’m digitising via sdi with serial remote – in fcpro i suppose i will go to an offline dv codec

    thx. Fr
