A friend of mine is looking for an intervalometer for a HDV camera. He needs to shoot one frame at a time over the course of a few days. Does anyone have any ideas where to get one?

no, but he may want to use a digital (still) camera with a built-in intervalometer, instead. Lots of articles on this on the web.

Actually, you can use the Firestore or similar hard drive recorder and set it to one frame recording. I did a project using it with miniDv over a 24 hour period and it worked great!
