  digital is digital is digital, right??!!??

  HI – I have just mastered out a project in PAL over SDI.

  When I mastered out, there were minimal spikes on the bottom of the vectorscope ie, on the black line not over it.

  On reviewing the tape, the signal had become amplified – the minimal spikes had increased in size, way-over setup (although I know setup is NTSC specific…)

  Is this possible with an SDI signal?

  Could it be a Cinewave issue, a multignerational issue? A deck calibration issue???

  We are running Cinewave 4.5 with a Hardware Hamlet Digiscope.
  Any answers much appreciated.
