digital cut no audio
I’m using Avid Xpress Pro on a dell dimension 8400. I can capture and playback audio on the Avid, but when I try a digital cut, only video comes out to tape. I’m using firewire out to mini dv or dvcam.
Does anyone know a fix for this?

Do you have your deck setup to accept firewire audio? Check your manual and the deck settings to be sure.
An obvious question – do you have your audio tracks activated in the digital cut tool?

I’m recording the digital cut using a Sony mini dv camera.
From what I’ve seen on other forums, it may have something to do with the DV Output setting on Avid, but mine is not allowing me to check it off because I’m not using a camera recognized by Avid.
Any thoughts?
