digital converter problem
I have the ADVC300 converter and it has worked great for importing analog signals into FCP. However,
the signals seem to be jammed….the digital and analog lights remain on so it isn’t separating the signals and FCP cant find it. I reversed the firewire plug in error and I’m hoping this didnt fry it. Any suggestions? -

Sometimes just holding down that button for a few seconds resets it so you can switch from capture to playback again. See if it helps.

I tried that, it didn’t work. All of the re plugging, rebooting, holding down buttons etc, have not resolved the problem. The unit is 1 week out of warranty. Any other suggestions?

Sorry – don’t know too much more that I could tell you to try. Time to call tech support – maybe you can convince them that a week out of warranty should still be covered…
