digital cinema desktop preview not working
I’m new to FCP, and I was trying to use the digital cinema desktop preview, however it just shows a still images, while the audio is playing. When I pause the image catches up, but only a still image again. I must have my settings wrong.
I’m on MacBook pro 15″ with a FW800 raid attached.

Try making sure VIEW – EXTERNAL VIDEO is set to ALL FRAMES.
See if that works.

I am having the same problem! What’s funny is that it worked when I was using Final Cut 6! Now that I upgraded to Final Cut 7 I can’t seem to get it working! Really irritating! Please let me know if you find a fix.
