    Hi,

so I have a bit of a challenge for the film I’m doing. We were under serious time pressure to complete each day so we had to bin our prosthetics builds in the hope that we could achieve what we wanted to do in post. We also had an actress who suddenly got cold feet about the level of nudity she’d signed up for. So, as seen in this shot here are the challenges:

In the story, she’s been severely beaten and her face was supposed to be swollen and puffy and bruised. Like Jared Leto in Fight Club. She’s also clearly wearing a bandeau covering her modesty. We need to get rid of that and add the bruising and I’m casting around for ways of doing it with AE and Photoshop as finding a gang of Nuke happy students will probably take more time than I’ve got and I feel like it should be possible using a combo of Mocha Remove and planar tracking. There are quite a few of these shots with varying challenges but I’m really looking for some possible work methods for the swelling in particular. Displacement maps?

    all help massively appreciated

    Robin
