    Hi All

Here is a weird one that I have never had. Only been experiencing this one lately. I run a DualG5 with 16GB Ram – FCP 6 with two WD 1TB FW 800 drives.

I have noticed little sqaures of artifacts that appear in my footage within the time line recently. Now I first thought it to be digital drop out on the tapes – ( bad camera heads ) – Now its appearing even on JPGs and logos that I draw into FCP in the time line. When I export it will appear in certain places. If I do a new export it will appear in different places ????

Frikken weird – Anyone had this before ?

My initial thought – Bad Ram ???

Are you using any demo plugins? Some of them put blocks on the screen until you purchase the plug. I don’t remember which ones. But I’ve read post about this. Of course, it could be something else, too. Can you post an example?

    Hi John

Nope no demo packs installed. I had a chat with Larry Jordan and he thought it would probably be the FCP prefs that went bad. So I trashed those. My initial thought was bad ram, but that would show up under Apple Diagnostics ?
