    Hello,

My short film has been selected for a festival which is screening Digibeta. I show at 720p24 on an HPX 170. I need to present them with a
Digibeta screener. I assume I can bring it to a post company for transfer but I’m wondering about how I should set up the file export. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks much,
    Liam Billingham

Find a place that uses FCP, then export a self contained QT file…full quality. They will downconvert when they output.

You located in LA? I have a couple of suggestions…

    Thanks for the info!
I’m in NYC actually. Probably use PostWorks.

    Thanks!

Call them and ask them what they prefer.

If its confusing, post back and we’ll sort it out for you.

They will likely be able to do what Shane suggested. They have Final Cut Pro and Avid there. But its always best to ASK them first.

    Great. THanks guys.

    One more question:
Like I said, the film was shot at 720p24. I’m trying to decide how best to export it, considering it will be playing on a semi large screen. (7 foot height, 7 by 13 16:9 measurements)
I’m not sure what to export at for best quality. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help. I’m a bit lost on this one.

    Thanks!
    -Liam
