  • Different color depth for different compositions in a same project?

    Hello,

I exported from Premiere to After Effects, 10 clips to a single project using Dynamic Link. Each clip is a composition in After Effects, so now I’ve got 10 compositions.

I want to work at 16bpc on five compositions, and 32bpc on the other five. How can I change the color depth of some compositions without affecting the rest of the project, and watch them in Premiere with their own color depth?

    Thanks a lot.

Bit depth is a per-project setting, not a per-comp setting. It’d probably be best here to split your project into two.

If you need to force 16-bit clipping between two layers in a 32bpc project, you could insert an adjustment layer with CC Composite on it.
