Differences in 6.5 and 7?
Posted by Tyler Groom on September 7, 2007 at 6:54 pmAre there any major differences in 6.5 and 7? Are the tutorials on here just for 7 or do they work for 6.5? Thanks

September 7, 2007 at 7:19 pmSome of them were written long before 6.5.
Most of them were written long before 7.
A few of them might have been written for 7. If they include an AEP, maybe that AEP won’t work in any versions before 7.
If it calls for 3D assistants lite, it won’t work after 6.5.But the instructional content of the vast majority of tuts is still sound, except maybe for the really old tutorials that call for Final Effects or Evolution plugins. Knock yourself out. 🙂

September 7, 2007 at 9:48 pmalso some of the new ones are about new features in AE CS3.
But overall they work a few versions back.

We tried AE7, found it a little unreliable, moved into CS3 (AE8) and haven’t looked back. CS3 solved all the issues we had with AE7 and it is well integrated with the rest of the CS3 suite.
