    I’m an Avid editor looking to learn FCP. Would like to get FCP for Avid editors book but it’s about FCP not HD. Is there a big difference in how operation? Probably not but just want to check before I order the book and make a plan. I want to be able to work on indie films.

    Thanks,
    C=-

    I think you’ll find that any version after 4.5 gets called “FCP HD”. Check the version numbers for a clearer indication. Having said that, the differences are usually workable – I know someone who learnt FCP 4.5 from a book on version 3!
