    what are the fundamental differences between FCP and Adobe Premiere??? which program is better for what??? thanks.

    Final Cut and Premiere are one and the same. They are both NLE’s (non-linear editors), just Premiere is only on Windows and Final Cut is Mac based. IMHO Final Cut is much much more robust, but that is just preference.

    as jameson said, fundementally they are the same, and to a point they are neerly identicle, slightly different look, and slightly different feel, if you don’t intend on doing hardcore, professional movies, premiere is cool especially when entangled with teh rest of teh adobe bundle, encore can make some awsome dvd’s with the help of adob’es aftereffects.

    but final cut is, well, more advanced, has more features, is a little more well rounded, and is more extensive, you can do more in finalcut than avid, as to what more that is, im not super clear after the recent upgrade in adobe, you could go to both websites and compare spec lists.
