difference of hd pro pci-x and pci-e
Posted by Pekin Azer on April 7, 2007 at 6:57 pmSo, why is the pci-x model cost more? Any difference in peformance? Should i get pci-e version, so it will be more future proof?

April 8, 2007 at 3:40 pmmy system has intel s5000XVN so i have both…pci-x 133mhz and pci-e… 16X, 8X and 4X are all supported..
My main concern was the price difference…Any difference in performance? Or does the pci-x version cost more to produce?

April 9, 2007 at 3:06 pmPCI-Express is way fastr than a PCI-X at 133 Mhz. The PCI-E card came out later than the PCI-X version and it cost less to build – apparently. Check out the comparisons chart on http://www.decklink.com for differences. Not much.
