Difference between SD DVD created from Apple Prores 422 and DV PAL
Hello there,
I want to know that what would be difference between in the following:
1. I have an Apple Prores 422 1080p HD video, if I create a DVD directly via using toast, what quality it will give me?
2. if I have an Apple Prores 422 1080p and I convert it to DV Pal first then create DVD using toast. what would be the quality.
and if we compare these two DVDs on a same screen at the same time, would result be noticeable?
Can anyone please help?

The extra compression step of going to DV is unnecessary, and even worse because DV’s color space causes erosion of titles and graphics.
Also, you should learn to use Conpressor and DVDSP to make DVDs, they Di far better than Toast. There are plenty of posts here on the Cow detailing the necessary steps.

Open you ProRes 1080p file in compressor
Choose Dvd high quality
Edit preset-) resize filter set to best
Burn in DVDStudio Pro
Done
