Difference between Multibridge HD & Multibridge Extreme?
Trying to figure out the difference between the Multibridge HD ($1,814) vs. the Multibridge Extreme ($2,499). All I can figure out is that with the Extreme you don’t need an HDLink to connect to an apple external Monitor for your HD monitor. Is that right?

Hi Troy,
Not only that.
The Multibridge Extreme also supports 2K playout via the DVI-D to a 30″ display. It can also be connected to your PCI-Express G5 via the provided PCIe card so that you can capture video directly. The Multibridge HD can only be used as a converter and not a capture device.

When you say the multibridge HD cannot be used as a capture device..are you referring to having to use a Decklink HD card? We already have the HD Card. If so, I think the Multibridge HD will work fine for us. thanks

That’s correct. If you already have a DeckLink HD card, then the Multibridge HD will be ideal when you want to capture from analog video sources into your DeckLink HD.
