I definitely agree that it’s a load of fun – when it works.

It’s absurdly slow on my ageing MacBook Pro and I don’t yet want to load it onto my work machine for fear of messing up essential stuff. But yeah, maybe it’s just the novelty factor but a lot of it feels really exciting to use – and there are some genuinely good ideas in there, among the bugs and quirks and genuinely not so good ideas!

And don’t get me started on how cool the Motion 5 integration thing is!

One question: what extra P2 metadata did you find? Program title? Markers or text memos by any chance?

Program does come in, as does location and memos, but just the text comes in, no markers. Unfortunately, only location is searchable from the browser.

anything up to about four cams is really easy in FCP X by using the syncronize feature and multiple tracks.

I suspect the “new” multicam will be pretty powerful with 64 bit processing.
