    hello,

(sorry about the last (incomplete) post. i pressed “post direct” by mistake. following is the complete post.)

thanks everyone for your generous help with my last question concerning how to make a DVD from Panasonic HVX200 FCP footage.

i’ve followed your advice, but the image on the resulting DVD has a weird diamond/moire pattern. it’s not so bad as to be outrageous, but it’s definitely noticeable.

i’ve never encountered this kind of thing before. can anyone help?

i exported a quicktime movie from my FCP project file using Export/QuickTime Movie. I used Current Settings and made the movie self-contained.

I then dragged the resulting MOV into Compressor, selected DVD: Best Quality 90 min. (16:9), MPEG-2 6.2 Mbps 2-pass 16:9, and Dolby.

I then dragged the 2 resulting files into DVD Studio Pro, changed V1 to 16:9, and burned a CD.

maybe it’s my FCP sequence settings? again, i shot with the hvx200. my sequence settings are: frame size = HD (960×720) (16:9), pixel aspect ratio = 960×720, anamorphic 16:9 unchecked, editing timebase = 23.98, quicktime video settings compressor = DVCPRO HD 720p60, quality = 100%.

thanks for all of your help!
