Device Explorer Vegas 12
I have six directories with files from six different cameras. I can use device exporer to bring in one set of files, but I can’t change directories to bring in the other files. When I click browse I can see the other directories but I never am able to click ok to go to that directory. It stays in the first directory. Do I need to copy my timeline to another project for each file and close and reopen vegas 12 and start device explorer again? My files are on an external esata drive.

Did you copy the entire camera card structure (you should have) or did you just copy the video files into an arbitrary folder on your hard drive? The Device Explorer is expecting to see a “device”… meaning a card structure that it recognizes. Perhaps this is the problem?

Thanks, yes…I did get it to work. I just right clicked on each device in the left pane and it let me open the next directory.
