  Determining storage requirements for feature shot on Amira & C300

  Hello Creative Cow!

  I am about to jump on an indie feature as a DIT and am trying to determine a ballpark for drive storage capacity to give to the producers.

  It will be a 20 day shoot, shot on Arri Amira at 3.2K resolution, along with C300 for BCAM and occasional drone usage. I’m estimating at least a 5:1 shooting ratio, though that may be being generous. I also realize I will have to leave additional storage space for offline transcodes.

  Would anyone with experience in this field have any idea what kind of storage estimate I should anticipate? I’m guessing somewhere between 10 and 20 TB, although that could be low and it’s always safer to go higher.
