  • Determining size on disc

    Hi,
When I check the project, Encore notifies me that my project is to big for DVD. However, I can’t tell how much each item weighs.
Though Encore can tell me the size of objects, it doesn’t divulge the actual final space on disc.
    Am I missing something?

Yes, check the Build panel. There’s a disc usage gauge there.

Take a look in the Project panel…there’s a Size heading there that shows the size of each asset (you may have to scroll right to see it).

Try going to File->Edit Quality Presets.

From that window you can choose which video clip (bottom left drop down) and then the different compression settings. On the bottom right it will tell you the estimated file size.

Note that as far as I can tell, this does not change your transcode quality (which I originally thought it did). To do that, you need to choose File->Transcode Settings for each clip.
