  Detecting frozen frames and audio glitches

  I receive video from various sources, and I need to ensure there are no digital drops or any other audio/video distortions.
  All video that passes will be broadcast.
  Is there software/hardware that can detect such issues and create a report of some kind (time code based or so) of potential issues?

  I don’t know what this would be called, so any guidance would be appreciated.
