Desperately seeking 25fps! Only 1 day left to export and it keeps coming out at 24.64fps
Hi there.
I am finishing off my cut and exporting prores422(HQ) media.
All of my sequences that are duplicated from the same seq are exporting at 25fps.
Except one.
The one that is going to online – video only.
It has now for the second time exported at 24.64 fps.
I tried copying it to a new seq and I did a 10min export test.
It worked and was at 25fps, but when I did the full 2 and half hour export was still at 24.64 fps.
Funny thing it imports back into premiere pro at 25fps and matches the cut?Any ideas?

What app are you using to read the frame rate as 24.~~~? And a screenshot of where you’re seeing this number.

Im using quicktime.
Have also used media info.
It is saying the same thing.

Do you have any empty bits of track in your timeline or have you generated black video to fill blank spots in the timeline? I’ve had the same kind of problem when encoding to Prores and the only way I could work around it was to make black video from AE and use that if I needed to have empty spaces in my edit.

Hey.
Tried and failed.
Still at 24.64fps
Funny thing is when I export it into premiere it reads as 25fps.
It also matches cut for cut.
I bamboozled.
Any other ideas folks.

Render the exported file again with the same settings.

How do you mean?
Like take the exported prores quicktime, put it in a seq, then re export media at the same setting?

This is a horrible Quicktime issue that has bit me earlier. The file is “correct” in Premiere but the framerate is tagged incorrectly in the file metadata that shows in Quictime player and other softwares that for example some broadcasters use.

If you know someone with Final Cut Studio (not FCPX), you can use Cinema Tools to fix this instantly without re-encoding.
Just open the file in Cinema Tools and use the conform feature to conform it to the proper frame rate. Since the file really is the proper frame rate, this only changes the metadata that QuickTime uses to determine the frame rate. Takes about 2 seconds and its fixes,
