  Desktop folder – doesn’t open as icons anymore ? how to fix?

  I’ve got a desktop folder I like to have open in “icon view” mode, not list view or multiple folder view. It used to remember whatever view mode I last used it. But now for some reason, it’s opening as the 3rd view choice instead of the first. How do you make the folder remember it’s opening state?
