    Hey guys

I’m trying to adjust the depth map for a virtual scene that has been projection mapped onto geometry, and I can’t figure out how. Basically, when I output a depth map, I get a very small gradient on the bottom of the screen, where the floor is, but I need it to flow back into the geometry.

I’m working in 32 bit, and I’m trying to up the exposure in AE, and it isn’t working.

    Thoughts?

The depth pass depends on the camera’s depth settings. As it happens I did a small video tutorial on this a few months ago, which you can see here:

This is a great post. Exactly what I’ve been searching for all morning.
It is missing one important step though. He says that you need to enable the depth post effect in order to achieve depth of field. He bypasses how to enable it.
    Does anyone know how?
Thanks again Creative Cow for saving the day.

    2 options!

    1. Enable ‘depth’ in your multipass settings
    2. Enable Depth of Field in your effects settings

    Where is the effects setting?
    Thanks again.

In your manual. I’d recommend checking there first.

No seriously, in your render settings, but it depends on which version of cinema you are running, they moved them in v11.
