    Hi All…

If I collpase several clips on a timeline into a nested sequence…

then on main timeline duplicate that nest….

If I open the nest and make a change to the content…

Only one reference on the main timeline is changed….

Is there a way to duplicate it on the main timeline so all refernces reflect the change (the change propogates to all refernces)…

    Thanks…

    Alex

Use the nest’s icon that appears in the Browser. If you use copies of a nest from a timeline, you get an independent copy of the nest, not a dependent version.

It’s quite confusing but, now that you have had some trouble with it, you might benefit from re-reading that section of the manual about nesting and how the different versions of a nest are treated in the Canvas and Browser.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
