So I’m trying to make a box with a letter on either side pushing the sides in a little bit like they are all squished together. Sounds really simple but for the life of me I can’t seem to figure it out

Is it as simple as the bulge deformer with a negative setting? (the deformer is a child of the box object and the box has to be editable – so a parametric cube won’t work – up the segments on the cube before you make it editable so you have enough polys to make the deformation smooth.)

Thanks!! I had tried this earlier, but forgot to subdivide so it wasn’t working

Just for clarification, a parametric cube will work as long as it has more than one segment. And obviously the more segments it has, the smoother the deformation will be.

(Slaps forehead). Of course it will. I’m so used to people working with deforms and the number one reason its not working is they havent hit the C key.
Jim, I guess we’re gonna have to auction off that “Genius” Propeller Beany. We’ll split the proceeds.

Sometimes I get lucky. You keep the beany.
