denoising speech – which Audio effects and to apply and in what order?
Hi!
I’m a psychologist and use Adobe Premiere to create auditory stimuli for the subjects of my cruel experiments. So the quality I need is not too high, but I want the best I can achieve with current knowledge (almost 0) and software – dobe Premiere Pro 2.0.
I have a pretty bad recording of the Finnish lady reading a text and I need to take away the constant hiss that appeared due, I think, to the built in mic of the camera.
Right now I’m doing it this way
-auditory gain 10dB
-volume 0dB
-DeEsser (without it after passing the stream through denoiser there is a strange metallic echo after certain sounds)
-DeNoiser (reduction -8.5, offset 6.5)
-EQ (50 Hz -20dB; 120Hz -17dB 1.33oct;1232Hz 15dB 2.66oct;3020Hz -16dB 2.73oct;10000Hz -20dB;output -1.2dB)this results in moderately good speech with still some hiss in the background and some “metal” introduced by denoiser.
Q1. What could i improve?
Q2. Could you recommend me tutorial on speech improvement for the beginners?
Q3. almost offtop. How to scale the amplitude of the waveform in the timeline to make it occupy all the space given for the track? Thanks!
