any one know why this may be at the top of my preview window with a red X going across the screen? can’t figure out how to turn it off or where it comes from. pressing the option keys are to no avail.

    thank you

Huh? This normally refers to “Options” on the effects control window, not the option key. Several commercial third party plugins must be activated this way. Dunno which ones you use. If you purchased them, that info normally comes with them as well as a proper serial number.

    Angelina,
You’re using some kind of demo plugin that’s not registered. If you don’t know what plugin it is try switching of the different effects, by pressing the ‘f’ next to it, until the X disapeers.

    Hope it helps you,

    Henrik

probably one of the trapcode plugins (shine, 3D stroke etc). They do this when the plug-in isn’t registered.
