  • Dem Earth with an Spline Wrap elevated

    Hello,

I’ve done a Dem Earth project in C4D. The project includes a kml route.

But with this spline I’ve done a Spline Wrap too. The problem is that I would like to elevate

the spline wrap over the object with the map, but I can’t do it: The spline wrap always collides

with the maps. Do you know how to do it?

    Hello Veronica,

What you are asking is kind of very specific. Maybe if you can share the .c4d file and explain with more detail the issue, someone might be able to find a solution.

    Hi Veronica,

In a case like yours, I suggest you use the “space” tool instead “Spline wrap”. Just before that, make sure that the Spline that you have has a large number of points spaced at the same distance. You can get that by converting the line type to “uniform” and increasing the value of the number of points, copying the line by “current state to object” and then Delete the old Spline

When using the space tool you can easily change the offset to make the line elevate over the map level, you will find an illustration of this in the screenshots below

    Hope this helps

Hi, Finally I got to resolve my problem, with a copy of the trackGPX but out of the Dem_Object:

A new null object inside the Dem_Object included the copy. When I moved the null out of the Dem_Object , kept the position, and the elevation of the spine was possible.

But I’ll try your system. Thank you.
